full-time status will be defined as having at least 70 hours per week instead of 80,

Thank you Mitch Daniels with your right to work law.  Now we have organized slave labor.  Even the governor does not work 40 hours per week.  Here health care workers are working 70 hours per week with a cut in pay and even more in benefits.

Of course companies will "flock" to Indiana where the Republicans have put open season on cutting wages, cutting benefits, cutting safety for the profits of corporate hospitals and other corporations.

And the official response from the Governor and the Republicans, is you don't have to work there, you don't have to support your families, you can move somewhere else.

Time to elect people who support the PEOPLE and not CORPORATE contributors to the Republican Party.

Yeah, Right, J.   If Indiana hadn't passed the RTW this would not have happened.  Why don't you put the blame where it really belongs and I'm not talking about George Bush.  Obama  took our sliding economy from Bush into an outright depression.   Obamacare is starting to take hold and as it does the costs are going to get worse and the health care system will turn from bad to disastrous.  I'm sure that you and the other Obamanites on the forum will come up with some more wonderful spin.

"full-time status will be defined as having at least 70 hours per week instead of 80"

Do believe that should be 70 hours per TWO WEEK PAY PERIOD and not PER WEEK.  Huge difference.

Aside from job cuts, full-time status will be defined as having at least 70 hours per week instead of 80...

Is this really correct, or should this read 70 hrs. per pay period?

Nessa is correct that should read 70 hours per two week pay period rather than per week.  It's a simple slip on the writers part and is actually considered a benefit to the workers as they can still get full time benefits even if they work less than 40 hours per week.  This has nothing to do the RTW as EGH is not a union hospital.  Any suggestion otherwise is propaganda intended to make political points on the backs of the workers who are seeing benefits and wages cut due to reduced reimbusements from both government and private insurance companies.

I so much resent the press not doing their full job and actually reporting some facts.  This report is merely - She said and He said with no investigation of the underlying financials of the organization, what higher executives are being paid and the size of the Golden Parachute that Lintjer took with him.

This is a Not for Profit Organization, all these numbers are available to the general public and if not should be.

Now why does the Truth not do their job and start actually investigating some facts instead of just what people are saying.

Once again we see Tim Vandernack once again doing a report that is clearly below his ability and skill as an Ivy Leaguer.  He plays stupid for a reason folks, The Truth will not let him use his skills and education to educatate you on the facts.

The bias in support of the Hospital as exhibited in the Truth is clear to see in both what the Truth reports and what they fail to report.
