No Sara, you are wrong.  If government has no role in education, then I guess you are for disbanding all pubic education and only allowing for profit private schools for only those who can afford education.

That is a shame.  Ever since the founding of this nation, Education has been one of the goals of this nation.  If not, then there would never have been public schools, free libraries, the establishment of Land Grant Colleges and universities.

And ever since this nation was started, it began building roads, ports, blazing paths into the wilderness.  All these created jobs directly and indirectly.  After the infrastructure was built, Americans could ship their goods across rivers, over the roads, on the railroads, etc.

Shame you have had such a poor education to realize this.  But it is not too late.  Otherwise I guess you will just have to wait for that lucky lottery winning and join the ranks of Mitt and his gang of thugs.

The whole program is a waste.  More feel good  rhetoric that will end up with more bureaucratic socialist objectives being put in place and it's cost, now just starting, will continue to go up and up.  Government will continue to expand even further and the quality of education will not be improve one iota.

Shame on you hermy for thinking the government needs to have its hands in all aspects of everyone's life.  Just what qualifications does the prosecutor have to deal with educational decisions.  Are we to all oooh and ahhhh because the politically elected prosecutor says it is good?  The government needs to stick to building roads, bridges, ports, and the rest of the infrastructures.  Those with the desire to work and earn a good living will get the training to do those jobs.  To provide funds for schools of any kind is one thing, but to make demands AFTER funds are provided in order for schools to keep getting funds is the danger of government getting into the educational field.  It happens all the time and is happening today.  Curtis needs to stick to prosecuting and educators need to keep educating.  The State of Indiana is already screwed up because of too many none educators make the laws as to what needs to go on our schools.  BY THE WAY, THE GREATEST MAJORITY OF THE LAWMAKERS ARE LAWYERS BY PROFESSION AND THEY PROVE, ON A DAILY BASIS JUST HOW LITTLE THEY KNOW ABOUT EDUCATION WITH THE LAWS THEY PASS!

As I asked before, "What do Lawyers contribute to the GNP?"  Answer: NOTHING!  They just leech off of those that do.
