"...has extended the registration deadline to midnight Monday....The sign-up period had been due to expire on Tuesday."

How about let's all just do it RIGHT NOW.

What a joke the DNC list is.  I regularly get 5 calls a day from unwanted solicitors and I've been on the list for eons.  In order to file a complaint you have to know who called, company name, person you spoke with etc.  After putting yourself through all that nothing ever happens.  When was the last time you read that so and so company was fined for unauthorized solicitations? I imagine one person from the AG's office to handle complaints, received and filed in the round folder.

I've had much success with faxes sent to my business which is also illegal.  After turning in some serial offenders, the States Attorney General has even had me file affidavits to proceed in prosecutions.  It is a bit time consuming but the faxes did stop and the offender was fined.  I actually applaud the effort.

I have had reasonably good luck with the DNC list except for the ongoing "Credit Card Services" scam that has 1000's of complaints on file in all 50 states.
I finally got the Indiana Troopers Association to stop calling me after e-mailing them and requesting them to stop calling .

There's been quite a few fined or made to by the DNC list according to the letters sent to me from the AG office. I almost never get an unsolicited call on my 6 phones anymore. Now on 2 phones we keep getting spam texts and they've not been able to do anything yet. Not sure why as the number they come from does show up.

You do NOT need to know who called, company name, person you spoke with so that's just a plain lie. I've filed a lot of complaints over the years since it started so I think I'd know.

Did you even have a phone before the DNC list? The difference is stark compared to then.

The list is a money maker for IN so you can guarantee that they will go after those that do not buy the list and abide by it.

Here's a small sample of those companies or persons that violated the DNC law and the state of IN is taking action.

Pinnacle Security - filed 1/11/12
NCI Properties/Sharon Barrett -  2/27/12
Campaign Communication Solutions, Inc. dba Stones' Phones 3/23/12

UC Abstract LLC d/b/a Rapid Debt Settlement
Date Filed: 1/26/2012

The Pinnacle Law Firm
