“Said we ran into a fair catch. What I disputed was the validity of the fair catch. I thought it was an invalid fair-catch signal,” Kelly said. “That would have been a nice play to go our way early in the game.”

No, they said you interfered with a fair catch. Even the head of the officials that was sitting in the booth with the game announcers said it was the right call.

Just because you don't like the way he indicated his "fair catch" it must be a bad call against N.D. ..Right.

Of all the teams in college football, N.D. should be the last one to complain about officials making calls that favor teams. Wow! Did you even watch your own season this year. I did, and you can bet I can call out at least 2 calls per game, per game I say, that went to N.D. and should not have.

All I can say is...Typical.

Started out listening to the game on a ND Network broadcast (don criqui, allen pinkett) and ended up listening to ESPN radio feed as I was returning from a trip and without television. What a world of difference with regard to bias towards ND between the two broadcasts. I guess that sums up why I choose to dislike ND football. While I suspct there is on occasion greatness to their program, I grow weary listening to the nonstop ND football hype this area is subjected to every season in spite of the team's often lackluster performance(s). ND football ain't all that when compared and I believe the outside world proved that last nite with the dish of reality served.

To the people who touted all season long that the bottom line wasn't ND's errors on the field, but rather the Win behind their name in the books that really mattered, I now rub salt with reminder that in spite of your watercooler comments today of " Hey take away the first half and it would have been a tie...", you still didn't take away a win last nite, and remember in your own words "...that's all that matters.".

ND will continue to be successful in the regular seasons if they continue to cut the beef out and pad the lineup. Example, they have decided to no longer take a chance of a loss to the Big Blue (Michigan), stay out of conference play that might lead them to possibly having to win a conference championship and at this point they are declining advance flight reservations that might have a destination within SEC rival territory. P.S. Hyped players like To'e is exactly that hyped until they find an entire conference of players who are faster, stronger and smarter than themselves because of work effort. Kelly was right when he voices that his players need to hit the weight rooms, to get faster and wise up to knowing commitment.

Having to add in my favorite picture of a Big Blue player...

My hope is now that expectations for winning at games of brute force played in coliseums at the local institution of most high learning and theoretical moral conduct is permanently lowered to the point where no one will care enough to look the other way when a girl is raped or a young man falls to his death from a cherry picker.

Alabama shouldn't be allowed to win any more National Championships.  It's not fair they are so successful.  I'm sure they got there by stealing from other schools.

Time to tax them by reducing the number of scholarships they can offer and give the scholarships to schools which have not won championships.
