And please tell me why they will not be allowed to discharge any guns? I read the addresses are in the county where there is no ordinance or law stating they cannot fire a gun. If they have a safe back stop and their neighbors don't complain, it's perfectly legal. No different than hunting on your own land.

Speaking for only one of the two, it was not part of the request that discharging the fireams be approved.  With regard to location of neighboring residences and proximity, it was a safety concern as well as a courtesy that it was omitted.  We have other options that will be exercised for testing and discharging the firearms if the need arises.

Yeara ago my husband did gunsmithing and never had a need to fire the guns he worked on.  If the need had arose he could have gone to one of the gun ranges and used their facilities.

I agree, there are very few GOOD gunsmiths in the area where I live. Good for them.
