and some wonder how anyone can put a price on the future of our country and our Health. Look elsewhere to cut taxes, not our future.

So now the libs got their way and can taxes us poor citizens so the kiddies can splash in a new pool. Shameful, only 15% turnout, which the school board had planned it that way. Low turnout favors their cause. Maybe the incompetent board can give the administrators another raise like they did 6 months ago. Libs are great at spending other's money.

Yes, always use the excuse "it is for the children" to raise taxes.

Most adults could not pass the 8th grade final exam from 1880......you know back when school was a place of learning in one room with no frills.

Now we have elaborate school buildings that look like jails to house the students because they need to be kept somewhere while both parents work to pay the taxes to keep the circus running.

Hint:  Money does not produce smarter people.

They voted for it, let them have it.  Hey kids, enjoy that pool and have fun walking to school in the snow.

It may have been only 15% turn out, but that only proves that the other 85% have no clue what they want, just only want to belly-ache about everything in their lives.  If you don't vote, you automatically agree with the majority of those who do - because you don't care.  Therefore one might say that 90% plus of the community supports the measure.

Be grateful that there were more wise-minded and caring people who voted for this than against it.

And those who would speak against it, I see you are with those who don't believe in such things as global warming, child obesity, poor health of our children, etc.  Your selfish mean-spirt is very evident.  Go drink tea with your party members.  Then....

Go back and put your heads in the sand.  At least we won't be able to hear you complain.

It's so good to see the statism dying. 85% of the people have no confidence in system where even if you don't agree with something,  the government puts a gun to your head and takes your money.

Don't vote. Don't even register to vote. By registering you are agreeing to comply with what ever the local thugs decide to do. Don't support a system of theft and violence that lets a major use the force of government steal your money and use it for what they want.

Let's see if we can't get that number to 100% then institute a voluntary system where if you want to donate, you can. If you don't your free not too.

Let's make a non-aggression pact where one group doesn't get to decide what everybody else has to do. You don't live your own life this way where a group of neighbors get to decide you should mow their lawn.

Cracker,

Ignorance is a beautiful thing isn't it?  It absolves one from being responsible for ones actions or words.  It might interest you to know, or maybe not, that while GCS chose to enforce their one mile walk zone this year, Elkhart schools EXPANDED their walk zones from 1 mile to 2 miles.  It pays to be an informed citizen.

but their still walking right?  So how am I not informed?

Last week I mentioned I was interested in knowing how many eligible voters would end up casting a ballot. I figured the number would be 20-25% so the level of apathy somewhat surprised me. People get the government and decisions they deserve.

While likely not in play for local ballot issues, is it really any wonder the citizens have lost faith in the legitimacy of elections?  With Obama winning 100% of the votes in a number of precincts in 2012, numerous locations reporting 110%+ voting turn out, and electronic machines that can be easily hacked and the real outcomes altered, are there really elections anymore?  Or is this all a huge "Truman Show" for the dumb masses?  I would bet both.  I would also bet that with a single digit congressional approval rating if real elections were held there would be a run on moving trucks out of DC and the percentage of incumbent reps would be in the single digits also.  I contend that it is not apathy, rather hopelessness.
