i MET the judge last century after she came to practicise law in Elkhart County. I can't recall that we ever met in court. I believe that she was the first Republican judge after the late Judge Simpson. I can remember having her as a passenger from Goshen to Indianapolis. We attended an Indiana Judical Center CLE which covered city court topics. The IJC did not fund travel for city court judges and the City of Goshen had her operate on a sparse budget notwithstanding the fact that she attempted to give everry litigant their Consitutional rights. As I remember we discuss foster parenting issues and I still remember a sage comment. I believe she returned from Indianapolis with Judge Stickel. I share in her familie's loss and I know she has passed over to a heavenly place without pain. I did not know that she hailed from eastern Iowa but it was that Hawkeye spirit coupled with her faith that helped her live with adverse health conditions. The Elkhart County bar missed her attept to render justice on the merits during her tenure on the bench. May God go with her!
