Robert Eldridge, Springfield, MO

I agree w/the comment that he was a man among men, kind hearted, and always focused on the best outcome he could provide. He performed a 3 hour surgery on my right leg (phlebitis) at the tender age of 5. I got to go home for Christmas that year and that was one of the best memories I can recall. RIP Phillip Samuel Zeitler and God's loving grace be with you. A good man indeed!

Dear Madelyn, Manette, Marjorie and Melanie, I was very sadden to hear about your father. He was truly a "Renaissance Man". My thoughts and prayers are with you. All my best, Jim

Dear Minnette and family I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad also operated on my knee that was really messed up. I had jumped out of bed way to fast and went straight on the floor on my knee full force. He had to do surgery to repair it. I felt like a semi had rolled up and parked on my knee. He was so good and kind to me because of my friendship with Minnette and the rehabilitation was painful but his encouragement made me stronger and I fought my way through it. Im a whimp but he kept persevering and encouraging me. I loved and respected him. I will be praying for all of you that God will give you peace during this time. He will be missed by our community and his past patients. God speed Dr. Phil..

I'm grateful for Dr. Zeitler's touch in my life. I am able to walk today without a limp because of his expertise. Thank you for the 46 years. I can still hear him say "walk for me". May his memory be for a blessing.

In the course of my practice, I remember the Doctor furnishing medical reports at a reasonable price. I knew and respected his deceased daughter and Mary and I were welcomed in to his home when another daughter became engaged to a dear friend. He explained to me why he performed charity services for poor Michigan patients because he felt the Michigan Medicade system failed to pay a just compensation. Dr. Zeitler's reputation among his peers was excellent. Mary & I grieve for his surviors who will miss his love. His devtion to family including his son-in-laws stands a measured mark that all might follow.

Diane Harvell, Middlebury, IN

Dr. Zeitler was a person who could be trusted. His skill was second to none, but more importantly, he loved his fellow men. It was very evident in the way he spoke with his patients. We shall miss him, but his legacy to our community and his profession will always be remembered. May God bless his family and his spirit. 48 years ago I had a work place accident which crushed my right foot. My family doctor said I would lose my whole foot. He called Dr. Zeitler in to work on my foot & he saved it except for a toe. I have been forever grateful to him & many times thru the years have thought of him & how talented he was.

David & Kim Henke, Elkhart, IN

A skilled surgeon and true gentleman. Dr. Zeitler was also a bedside teacher to many of us and implemented new orthopedic procedures right before our eyes. He was a blessing to many, a wonderful person to all. Our heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends.
