I am so sorry to hear about Roger's passing. He was always happy to see old friends and had the most beautiful smile. He will certainly be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to his Son and Laura and all of his Family.

I talked to Roger once, and met him twice in the second week of May of this year. He told me to come on over to the car lot and he would see what he could do for me. He showed me a car, I thought about it over night and came back the next day. From there, we went for a car ride where he told me all about the car. We came back and my mother met me there with my 3 year old son while we signed the paper work. Through the process (my son was being a 3 year old boy and getting into everything). Roger assured me it was ok and he talked about his son and his fiancée. We then related to each other because we both had a son and a fiancée. Obviously I didn't know him very well, but is character is very memorable to my mother and I. It was shocking for both my mother and I to see his name in the paper and in this section. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family in their time of need.

I was very shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Roger. I use to live catty corner from him in TIV and I remember all of us neighborhood kids running around playing. We had a blast! I remember the bus rides to Jimtown. All of those things will be cherished. As we have all gotten older we have all went off and gotten married, had kids, worked, activities and some of us moving away. So with that we have all not gotten to stay in touch like we would of liked to but I was so glad to have facebook because it has reconnected a lot of us back together. And although we may not talk a lot or even talk at all, at least we still got to read about each others lives and keep up with each other that way. And with that I learned of Roger becoming a first time Daddy not quite a year ago. I know he loved and cherished Mason with all his heart. You could tell that by the pictures and his words. I'm just sorry it ended so shortly for both of them. With that, my prayers go out to his son Mason and his fiancé Laura. May god give her the strength to go on and raise they're precious little boy. My prayers also go out to the rest of his family in this time of sorrow.
