Mel, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, Carl was a good guy and you were blessed to be able to share all those years together. Remember the good times that you shared and I pray that you will be able to get through this. I miss you.

Thank you Carl for being such a special man in the lives of me and our group of friends. We always considered you our second dad and I loved hearing your laugh and walking in the door to hearing you say "Hey Magster!" My hear aches for Amanda, Mel, and Courtney. I love you Big C!!

Nancy Lauer, New Albany, OH

Mel, I am so sorry to hear the news. I know how the difficult days are to come. If you need anything-I mean anything, please call, write, email or text me. I know what you are going through having gone through it myself and I would love to be there for you. If not now, then whenever you feel like it. I am not just saying the words, I truly mean it. While it is easier said than done, please take care of yourself. I will send you a card with all my information on it so you will know how to reach me. Nancy Lauer

I grew up next door to Carl on McDonald St. I have many happy memories spending time with him and Lanie and my sister Mary - backyard BBQ'S, playing Kick the Can, and swinging on their front porch swing singing our favorite songs. Hold on to your best memories of Carl, it will keep him alive in your hearts. I am so sorry for your loss.

My thoughts and prayers to Courtney and Elaine and the entire family for the loss of your dad/brother. You are two of the nicest people I know and I hope many happy thoughts and memories help you during this difficult time.

I am so sorry that I am unable to come to the funeral and give you all very big hugs! Carl was a very special person to me and I loved seeing his smile at all of our volleyball games throughout the years. He will always be in my thoughts & memories! Sending love to all of you from New York!

Carl was like a brother to me while growing up next door to him and Lanie. He was a good guy and I am very sad to hear of his illness and passing. I know he will be missed by everyone who knew him. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Paula Kitson/Bollman, Bristol, IN

I knew Carl & his good friend Mike in high school and he was a good friend too me. Saw him again at the bowling alley later in life and he still knew me. I will miss him very much.
