CASSOPOLIS, Mich. - Pauline Burema, 89, of Cassopolis, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at her daughter's home, after a brief illness.

Sorry to hear about Pauline's passing; we fully expected her to live to be 100. She used to wave to me when I drove past on my tractor, and she gave my mom English walnuts from the trees in her yard. My dad, 'Soapy, was especially fond of Pauline for all the times she helped him bale hay on our farm. I always enjoyed talking with both Don and Pauline when they walked their dogs along Grange Street. She will be truly missed!
