MILWAUKEE - Juanita (Anderson) McAdory, 69, formerly of Elkhart, Ind., passed away Dec. 25, 2012, after a brief illness, at St. John's Hospital, Milwaukee.
Juanita was born Dec. 27, 1942, to the union of Jesse and Lovie Anderson.
Juanita graduated from Elkhart High School and moved to Milwaukee. There she attended Marquette University and worked as a teaching assistant as well as an organizer at Garden Home Montessori School.
She was an artist, writer and poet. She was also an avid activist in her district against crime and lawlessness. She loved helping the poor.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, auntie and friend.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory one son, Gathen Anderson; three granddaughters, all of Milwaukee; two sisters, Jean (Henry) Robinson of Elkhart and Dorothy (Amos) Walton Beamon of Milwaukee; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding her in passing were her parents and her brother, James "Sweet" Anderson.
Juanita "Mutt" Anderson was a fun loving, helping, care-giving sister who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Goodbye our sister, until we meet again.
