WHITE PIGEON, Mich. - Michael Alan Nihart, 50, of White Pigeon, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, in his home of natural causes.

He was born March 31, 1962, in Sturgis to Herbert D. and Betty Jane (Airgood) Nihart. He married Gloria Ann Watson on Aug. 20, 1983, in White Pigeon.

She survives along with his parents; children Katie L. Nihart of Sherwood and Leland M. Nihart of White Pigeon; four grandchildren; brothers Rick (Wanda) Nihart of White Pigeon and Gary (Leslie) Nihart of Greenville, S.C.; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Michael was a White Pigeon and Middlebury, Ind., area resident all of his life. He graduated from White Pigeon High School and earned his associate degree in construction technology from Ferris State University.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at Farrand Funeral Home, White Pigeon. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church, White Pigeon.

Interment will be in White Pigeon Township Cemetery.

Donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church or White Pigeon Fire and Rescue.
