ELKHART - Clifford E. Powell Sr., 61, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, in Elkhart.
He was born May 14, 1951, in Winnfield, La., to Oscar Powell and Geneva (Casey) Clark.
He is survived by his sons, Clifford E. Powell Jr. of South Bend, Chance (Sarah) Powell of Basel, Switzerland, and Shayne (Nicole) Erb of Lansing, Mich.; five grandchildren; his mother, Geneva (Ezel) Clark of Chicago; a brother, Oscar Powell Jr. of Lafayette; and two sisters, Betty (Mark) Beachy of Minnesota and Jennifer (Mike) Hooper of Chicago.
Visitation is for one hour prior to the 1 p.m. service Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart, with Dr. Mike Wills of Central Christian Church officiating.
