NEW PARIS - Stanley H. Weaver, 74, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, Jan. 8, 2013, in the emergency room at IU Health Goshen Hospital.

He was born in New Paris on Jan. 1, 1939, to Osee and Mary (Welty) Weaver.

He is survived by four sisters, Elberta Mary Landenberger and Marie Weaver, both of New Paris, Norma (Vernon) Hershberger of Goshen and Jewell Wiggins of Dowagiac, Mich.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Bertha Krebs, Faye Kauffman and Laveta Stuckman; and four brothers, Francis, Glen, Kenneth and Jay Weaver.

Mr. Weaver was a lifelong area resident who worked in home construction. He enjoyed bowling and received many trophies in his early years, and once rolled a 300 game.

Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home followed by a 3 p.m. funeral service with Paster Stan Godfrey of New Paris Church of the Brethren officiating.

Burial will follow in New Paris Cemetery.

Kenneth Truex, Honolulu, HI I will miss Stan dearly. He was such a wonderful person. I.,m glad we were able to bowl together in our teen years. We recently had a 50 Year bowling reunion in GOSHEN and he. Still had a great delivery. May he restinpeace. Our prayer,s are with him and his family. Sincerely, Ken /Yuriko.
