GOSHEN - Ruth Roberts, 95, died in her home Thursday morning, Jan. 10, 2013.

She was born June 6, 1917, in Concord Township, to Benjamin and Miriam (Kile) Everest.

She married Kenneth W. Roberts on March 23, 1941, in Goshen. He died in 1974.

She is survived by a son, Dennis L. Roberts of Goshen; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Kenneth Duane Roberts Jr.; and two brothers, John and Howard Everest.

Mrs. Roberts graduated from Jefferson High School in 1936.

A machine operator at Whitehall, she retired in 1980 after 30 years.

A private graveside service will be conducted Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart. Chaplain Larry Rice will officiate.

Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Morris (Morry) Schrock, Avon, IN I worked with this dear lady at Whitehall Labs, & then met her again when my kids attended Jefferson school and her son Duane & I were cub-scout leaders there, and became friends. Now they are both gone and I pray that god may be with them and with their loved-ones in their time of loss.
