GOSHEN - Elinor Shroyer, 77, of Goshen, passed away at 6:40 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Courtyard Healthcare.

She was born Oct. 24, 1935, in Elkhart to the late Arthur R. and Loreene A. (Whitright) White.

Elinor is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Charles E. Shroyer of Goshen; a daughter, Kathy (Don Trueblood) Shroyer of Elkhart; a son, Charles A. Shroyer of Elkhart; a daughter-in-law, Dawn Shroyer of Goshen; two sisters, Judy (Harold) Taylor of Elkhart and Peggy (Chuck) McConnell of Anderson; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Bradford Shroyer.

Elinor worked as an activities director for several nursing homes in the Elkhart area. She was known for her cake decorating, playing the piano and organ, and enjoyed crafts and sewing.

A private family memorial service will be at a later date.

Memorial donations may be given to any charity of the donor's choice.

Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
