Aug. 11, 1926 - Jan. 15, 2013

LAGRANGE - Dean Hoggatt, 86, of LaGrange, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.

He was born Aug. 11, 1926, in Herbst to Wilbur K. and Esta M. (Sprinkle) Hoggatt.

Dean was a member of the LaGrange Church of Christ and served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

On March 12, 1949, he married Thelma M. Campbell in Lafayette. She passed away Aug. 14, 2010.

Surviving are children Kathleen (Kenneth) Long of Kingsland, Ga., Lesly (Chad) Brock of Nashville, Tenn., Jean (Jeff) Carter of Charleston, S.C., Kent (Debi) Hoggatt of Lapeer, Mich. and Brian (Julie) Hoggatt of Middlebury; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Julia Gould of Marion.

Preceding Dean in death were three sisters and four brothers.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at LaGrange Church of Christ, 407 S. Townline Road, LaGrange, where a funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013. Norman Herron and Kent Hoggatt will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange.
