OSCEOLA - Carol A. Brown, 70, of Osceola, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Elkhart General Hospital.

The Elkhart native was born Aug. 27, 1942, to Howard F. and Henrietta (Reihl) Zimmerle. They preceded Carol in death.

She was a homemaker and member of American Legion Post 308 Ladies Auxiliary and DAV Elkhart Chapter 19 Ladies Auxiliary.

Carol is survived by her husband of 47 years, Warren K.D. "Kenny" Brown; daughter Michelle (Darin) Hunt of Mishawaka; son Warren K.D. "Kenny" Brown II of Osceola; granddaughter Nicole (Michael Alvarado) Braddock of Osceola; brother William (Alice) Zimmerle of Elkhart; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy., with the Rev. Jewel Hager officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
