BRISTOL - Nancy C. Herkenroder, 78, of Bristol, passed away at 11:20 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Greenleaf Health Campus.
She was born June 15, 1934, in Peru to Paul R. and Lola P. (Sturwalt) Jordan.
On April 20, 1954, in South Bend, she married Ralph W. "Herk" Herkenroder. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2005, in South Bend.
Surviving are two sons, John Herkenroder of Bristol and Frank (Trudy) Herkenroder of Elkhart; three grandchildren, Brian, Amy and Allie Herkenroder.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Nancy graduated in 1952 from Riley High School in South Bend. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She retired from Gemeinhardt Musical Instruments where she worked for over 20 years.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, with a celebration of life service at 5 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Ed Fruitig will preside and cremation will follow.
Memorial contributions may be given to Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart.
