ELKHART - Scott "The Sandman" Sands, 51, of Elkhart, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at the home of his landlady, Margaret Delucenay, and her family, where he had lived for eight years.

He was born Aug. 8, 1961.

His wife and children preceded him in death from a car accident 15 years ago.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at the Fellowship of Hope Mennonite Church, 1618 S. Sixth St., Elkhart. Karen Kingsley will officiate.

Memorials may be made to Servants of the Street Addiction Center, 803 Wolf Ave, Elkhart, IN, 46516, for the alcoholics who still suffer.
