Memories and Condolences

Penny Copsey, Elkhart, IN

What wonderful memories of Mr. Hendrickson. He was my principal all through Rice School. I thought I was so cool when I got to be the office helper and pass out the attendance sheets and return them to the office. He was such a kind man. I have had the honor of seeing him in recent months dining at the Olive Garden. He looked just as I remember from years back. Marcia and Alice and their families provided a wonderful life for Ray and Opal in their later years. You are wonderful daughters!! My thoughts and prayers are with your families during this time of grief. Penny (Merrick) Copsey

I have so many, many fond memories of Mr. and Mrs. Hendrickson. Mr. Hendrickson was my grade school principal and they were our neighbors. I can remember them walking past the house every Sunday on their way to McCoy Church. They always had a kind word for everyone and you knew they were always concerned about you. My sincere sympathy to Alice and Marcia and families. Your father was a wonderful person and one to be very proud of. May God give you peace and comfort in the days to follow.
