SHIPSHEWANA - Betty J. Osborn, 75, of Shipshewana, died at 11:59 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.

She was born Oct. 27, 1937, to the late Joe Parsley and Edith Robertson in London, Ky.

On May 16, 1955, she married William Osborn. He died in 2002.

Surviving are her children, Diane (Roger) Pairan of Shipshewana, Kylie Samantha-Joe Osborn at home, Timothy Osborn of Clarksville, Ohio, Jeffrey Osborn of Blanchester, Ohio, David (Sarah) Osborn of Topeka and Michael Osborn of Goshen, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and siblings Ethel (Richard) Chaney of Waynesville, Ohio, Alfreda Reed of Blanchester and Virgil (Lauae) Douglas of Westboro, Ohio.

She was a member of Topeka Mennonite Church.

She received her CDL at age 56 to drive a truck with her husband.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Tufts-Schildmeyer Funeral Home, Blanchester. Funeral services re at noon Wednesday, Jan. 23, also at Tufts-Schildmeyer Funeral Home.

Burial is in Second Creek Cemetery, Blanchester.

Memorials may be given to Center for Hospice Care or the Alzheimer's Association.
