It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have learned of the passing of a great man, Gaylord "Mr. G" Candler. He was one my childhood Dads growing up, with my friend and his son Kevin. He was one of the most down to earth people you could ever know. He laughed with me, and at me, but always with a great sense of humor. After I moved away from Indiana, I would stop by in town to his bar, Mr. G's, in Osceola. He was always happy to see me and catch up on old times and new. He was truly a man that would give you the shirt of his back if you needed it. My condolences to his wife Sandy, my friend Kevin and his brothers Mark and George, his family, and the thousands of friends he had that will be hoisting a cold one in his honor. God bless this man that I was honored to know.
