NORTH WEBSTER - Mrs. Phyllis C. Piper, 85, died Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 23, 2013, at the home of her daughter, Jane.
She was born August 26, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., to Albert and Marie (Flanders) Clark.
On July 5, 1946, she married Edgar Glen Piper in Independence, Kan. He died in 2005.
She is survived by three daughters, Jane (Tom) Davis of North Webster, Robin (Daren) Rader of Elkhart and Rebecca Piper of Tacoma, Wash.; a son, Joe (Darlene) Piper of Hendersonville, N.C.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ronald (Barbara) Clark of Denver, Co.
Mrs. Piper was a homemaker and worked at Johnson Controls in assembly prior to retirement. She was a member of Christian Fellowship of Goshen.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at the funeral home, with Pastor Craig Garber of Christian Fellowship, Goshen, officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
