FORT WORTH, Texas - Thelma Heffernan, 84, of Fort Worth, passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2013.

She was born Sept. 10, 1928, in Elkhart, Ind., to Jerry J. and Alta Wise Miller. She married James Heffernan, who preceded her in death along with three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include a brother, Dale (Elsie) Miller of Bristol, Ind.; a brother-in-law, Earl McKittrick of Fort Worth; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral and burial services were in Fort Worth on Jan. 21, 2013.

Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart, is handling local arrangements.
