GOSHEN - Ruth Viola Weaver, 84, died late night Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing after an extended illness.
She was born March 27, 1928, in Foreman, N.D., to Clifford and Clara (Nelson) Bolsinger.
She married Wayne L. Weaver on July 10, 1948, in Bremen. He died Jan. 12, 2010.
Surviving are four children, Louanna (LaMar Davis) Stankovich of North Webster, Colleen Lawhorn of Elkhart, Kent L. Weaver of Indianapolis and Tina (Deb Bussard) Weaver of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Brent (Christi) Stankovich of Wakarusa, Brian (Amber) Stankovich of Milford, Mich., Ryan Lawhorn of Elkhart and Stacy (Adam Greenwalt) Lawhorn of Elkhart; seven great-grandchildren, Megan, Sydney, Emily, Nick, Beau, Brooklyn and Ty; and a sister, Lorraine Stump of Ontario, Calif.
She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Harvey N. Stump.
A member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elkhart, she was also a member of Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion and Michiana Rental Association.
Following her retirement from CTS she studied interior design at Ivy Tech, graduating with honors.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, where the funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2013. Pastor Robert Schallhorn will officiate.
Burial will follow in Union Center Cemetery.
