ELKHART - Gloria Rodriguez, 82, passed away at Elkhart General Hospital at 7:27 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2013.

She was born June 21, 1930, in San Antonio, Texas, to Rudolph "Rudy" Rodriguez and Mary Louise (Vann) Rodriguez.

Surviving are a son, David (Carol) Gonzales; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mary Louise Esparza and Mary Ellen Chavez, both of San Antonio; two nieces; and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rudy, in August of 1938; her mother, Mary Louise in June of 1983; and two grandchildren, David and Carrie Gonzales.

Gloria grew up in San Antonio, and later moved to Elkhart, where she spent her remaining years surrounded by family. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Gloria will be one hour prior to the 6 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home. Presiding will be the Rev. Glenn Kohrman from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Cremation will take place at Elkhart Cremation Services. Burial will be private at a later date at San Fernando Cemetery in San Antonio.

Memorial contributions may be given to United Cancer Services in Elkhart.
