ELKHART - Ray C. Painter, 53, of Elkhart, passed away at 9:05 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, in his home.

He was born Jan. 19, 1960, in Elkhart to Betty (Wyant) Painter.

Surviving are a brother, Jeffrey Painter; and four cousins, Pamela Lanway, Richard Pressler, Michael Pressler and Kathy Kennedy.

Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Betty; a brother, Stephen Miller; and a sister, Debra Miller.

Ray loved fishing, hunting, bowling and spending time with his family.

Visitation for Ray will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.

Cremation will take place and burial will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
