LAGRANGE - Larry E. Givens, 63, of LaGrange, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, in his residence.

He was born on Aug. 31, 1949, in Lancaster, Pa., to the late Norman and M. Arlene (Shoemaker) Givens.

He was the owner of Industrial Lumber Sales in Orland.

On Feb. 14, 1972, he married Karen Nisley in Topeka. She survives in LaGrange.

Also surviving are his children, Arthur (Jessica) Givens of Howe, Adams Givens of Prescott, Ariz. and Alicia (Joe) Persons of Andover, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Aidan and Liam Givens, both of Howe, and Ethan McRae and Caterina Persons, both of Andover; and siblings Shirley Potter and Gerald Givens, both of Wellsville, N.Y., and Carol Jean VanBuskirk and George Givens, both of Andover.

A viewing will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Orland Congregational Church, Orland. Pastor Paul Metzger will officiate. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland.
