Memories and Condolences

Richard Nichols, Naples, FL

She touched my life and so many others, first as a young kid buying day old donuts at the bakery and years later at Calvary UMC. I have lived in Florida for over 30 years and still and will always carry wonderful and meaningful memories of both Izzy and Freddie, two very special and dear people now together forever with Jesus!

Izzy was the sweetest lady I have ever met. She will be greatly missed. Thoughts and prayers are with the family. The Jellison Family.

What a little firecracker! I met Issy years ago thru my mother (Barbara Miller). I remember my mom stating that there was this lady (Issy) she wanted me to meet. My mom said "She just makes me think of you." Well after meeting Issy I knew this woman was full of spunk. We cut up and laughed so much that day. I believe if I were to have remained in Indiana, Issy would have become a close friend! My envy to all those who knew her and loved her dearly, what stories you must have. Just from the brief time I was in her company makes me giggle. I wondered just what her entrance to heaven must have been like! Keep them laughing Issy!

What a sweetheart Issy was. She had a hand in raising all of us DeBoni/Swartzell kids as we would visit our family bakery as youngsters and begin working there @ 14 years old. She never failed to greet and acknowledge us, no matter how busy she was. My sincere condolences to her family. She will truly be missed but also remembered with fondness.

Barb Dunker, Shipshewana , IN

I met Issy when I started teaching at Roosevelt School across from DeBoni bakery where she worked. She was always friendly to everyone with a contagious smile and sharp wit. She made you feel like family and she never had a mean word to say to anyone. I always made sure I went and saw Issy when she went to work at Sams Club, she made our day when we would see her. She gave her all to Sams club, always cheerful with a big smile on her face, I really missed her when she was no longer there, Sams Club lost a great Ambassador. Issy was feisty and quick to come back at anything she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. Please know that all who knew Issy loved her dearly and now she is a special angel in heaven who now is keeping everyone in stitches in heaven... Love amd will miss you Issy...

Aunt Issy was such a tiny package and yet undeniably a force of nature. She loved people and was always quick to show it with her radiant smile and engulfing embrace. She will be missed by all of us.

I remember the first time I met Issie, she threw her arms around me like a long lost friend. No one was a stranger in her eyes. When we would visit Sam's Club we would always seek her out. There were many times we had to stand in line to sample the food as she was busy being "herself", talking and laughing with the people. She was a "goodwill" ambassador for the store. I don't believe I ever remember her with a sad face, she was always cheerful, had a smile on her face, and a twinkle in her eye. At long last, now we can be with the love of her life, Fred. We will miss the hugs, kisses, and the twinkle in her eye. God has gained another angel and we have lost a wonderful friend, Mother, and Grandmother. Rest in peace Issie.
