Earl J. Frost

MISHAWAKA - Earl J. Frost, 62, of Mishawaka, passed away at 5:35 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, in his residence, with his loving family by his bedside after a courageous battle with cancer.

Earl was born on Feb. 6, 1951, in Elkhart to the late Henry and Rosie (Hamm) Frost.

On Jan. 16, 1982, he married Susan K. Haines. She survives.

Also surviving are four daughters, Julia A Frost, Roxanne M. (Manny) Gomez, both of Albuquerque, N.M., Jamie E. (Brad) Neer of Warsaw and Misty M. (Jamie) Kovach of Mishawaka; four sons, Erik J. of Albuquerque, Glen T. of Mishawaka, Terry G. (Heather) of South Bend and Tyler J. Frost of Battle Creek, Mich.; one sister, Belinda Stamper of Fort Knox, Ky.; two brothers, Alfred W. (Betty) and Glenn A. (Cindy) Frost, both of Elkhart; and 18 grandchildren whom he loved and cherished. Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Esther J. Morey of Granger.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Herman E. Frost.

Earl retired from R&J Construction Company.

Earl loved playing in his band "The Time Machine", fishing, being with the grandchildren and family outings.

The family would like to thank Dr. Brandon Zaubukovic M.D., for his care and compassion to Earl during his courageous battle with cancer. They also want to thank Pastor Dwight Gosser for all his prayers and being with the family during a very trying time.

Friends and family may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home, South Bend. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at the funeral home, with Pastor Dwight Gosser officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.

In lieu of flowers the family would like all memorial contributions be made to New Life Christian Center, 15685 S.R. 120, Bristol, IN 46507, where Earl was a member.

Earl will be dearly missed by his loving family, friends and all who had the opportunity to know him during his life journey.

Hanley & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home, 23421 S.R. 23, South Bend, handled arrangements and services and extends its deepest sympathy to the Frost family.
