July 14, 1927 - Feb. 9, 2013

ELKHART - Dolores "Mama D" Thorn, 85, of Elkhart, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Golden Living Center.

She was born on July 14, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Charles and Martha (Butalla) Sebehar.

Dolores is survived by her six children and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert Thorn.

She loved to cook, enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family and friends.

The family would like to express gratitude to the staff at Golden Living Center and AseraCare for their compassion and care for Dolores.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.

Tracie Brewer, Mishawaka, IN Mama D was a wonderful lady. She was so funny and witty..never a dull moment with her :) She had such a strong personality and a huge heart. I am blessed to have known her while I worked at Golden.
