Memories and Condolences

Athena Beaudoin, El Cajon, CA

I am very sorry to hear about the passing of my uncle Richard. He really knew how to show us a good time when we came to visit. I have a lot of good memories of him over the years. But two of my favorite are, when he taught me how to ride a moped when I was about 12 and his chicken that laid the blue egg. My heart goes out to his children, Ralph, Tim, and Michele, his sisters, Athena Sharum, Jackie Besson and Brother Ralph Crume. Here is a poem that I hope you all will find comfort in. "TO THOSE I LOVE & THOSE WHO LOVE ME" When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do. You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears. Be happy that we had so many years. I gave to you all of my love. You can only guess How much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, But now it's time I traveled on alone. So grieve a while for me if grieve you must Then, let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for awhile that we must part. So, bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on. So, if you need me, call and I will come. Tho' you can't see or touch me, I'll be near. And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear All of my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way, alone, I'll great you with a smile, and Welcome you Home. With love Athena Rae

I am truly saddened to hear of my uncle Richards passing, I always enjoyed his energy and excellent work ethic, very strong man who really knew how to handle his business, One of my fondest memories was a summer vacation where he let me enjoy his farm duties and ride his mopeds. Love you uncle Richard! It is unfortunate that my mother Athena Sharum from San Diego, CA was incorrectly placed in the obituary information .

I loved my Brother Richard very very much! I will miss Him deeply. Two of my fondest memories will be sitting at his kitchen table playing rummy with Him and John and sitting on a bank in Ludington MI. watching Him fish. I LOVE You Richard!!
