Ruth F. Rink

OSCEOLA - Ruth F. Rink, 86, of Osceola, passed away at 2:27 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center.

She was born March 3, 1926, in Elkhart to Lawrence and Ruth Ada (Haines) Misner.

On Jan. 20, 1944, in Elkhart she married Paul J. Rink. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2001, in Elkhart. Surviving are a son, Paul J. (Myrna) Rink of Goshen; a daughter, Sharon (David Glen) Hedrick of Osceola; and five grandchildren, Chad (Katie) Rink of Mishawaka, Deidre (Jeff) Bellamy of Elkhart, Tracy Hedrick-Durbin of Elkhart, Denver (Elizabeth) Hedrick of Osceola and Elizabeth Rink of Elkhart. Also surviving are 11 great-grandchildren, three great-step-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Cheri Rink; a grandson, Paul J. Rink II; and four sisters, Isabelle Dale, Betty Parks, Mary Combs and Joan Hover.

Ruth was a homemaker who enjoyed watching TV, playing cards, doing word searches, puzzles and embroidery. She loved going to auctions and garage sales and spending time with her family.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at the funeral home. Pastor Oscar Sheets will preside and burial will follow in Brown Cemetery in Millersburg.

Memorial contributions may be given to the St. Joseph County 4-H Fair.
