ELKHART - Donald Richard Giffels, 51, of Elkhart passed away at 5:22 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born March 16, 1961, in Owosso, Mich., to the late Alfred and Magge (Jones) Giffels.
Donald is survived by his daughter, Christina Rice of Elkhart; two sons, Johnathon W. Giffels and Donald Richard Giffels, both of Elkhart; a sister, Kim (Clay) Bryant of Boise, Idaho; and a nephew, Jeff (Pam) Bryant of Boise. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Alexis, Mattaline, Nevaeh, McKenzie, McKayla, Bailey, Alex and Anton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Magge Giffels.
Donald enjoyed working with his hands. He liked to make birdhouses.
There will be no viewing or service. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
