CORDOVA, Tenn. - Martha Ann Pratcher, 62, of Cordova, formerly of Elkhart, Ind., passed away at 5:22 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Methodist Health Care North Hospital in Memphis.
She was born Dec. 19, 1950, in Stanton to the late Howard Jr. and Mammie Lee (Johnson) Jeffries.
She worked at Whitehall for 30 years and E. and R. Carpenter in Elkhart for 10 years.
She leaves to mourn her loss five daughters, Antonia (Charles) Holmes of Elkhart, Latasia (McIvin) Culbreath of Millington, Andra Pratcher of Elkhart, Betina and Petrina Pratcher of Indianapolis; three special nieces, Angela Ervin, Tara R. (Chris) Grandberry of Memphis and Allisa F. (Rolt) Bullard-Van of Hornlake, Miss.; a nephew, Indasean Jefferies Bullard of Memphis; one brother-in-law, Lawyer Bullard of Memphis; one aunt, Minnie Lee Toles of Memphis; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Beatrice Bullard and niece Lashona Bullard.
She professed her life in Christ at a very early age at Community Baptist Church. Martha was a very fun, loving and caring person. Her family was the most important thing to her. Her smile and laughter will be truly missed.
Services are at noon Saturday, March 2, 2013, at St. James AME Church. The Rev. Nicholas Cossey will be officiating. The burial will take place in Rice Cemetery. Following the graveside service, there will be a luncheon at the church.
Services have been entrusted to Waterman Westbrook Clouse Funeral Home.
