GOSHEN - Paul "Tooter" Stubblefield, 66, died Sunday afternoon, March 17, 2013, at IU Health Goshen Hospital. He had been ill the past six months.
He was born July 19, 1946, in Wilson, Ark., to Paul and Myrtle (Whitaker) Stubblefield.
In October 1998, he married Jody Kauffman in Goshen. She survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Myrtle Sartain; stepmother Dorothy Stubblefield; stepson Richie Holdeman of Osceola; grandchildren D.J. (Tish) Rhodes of Elkhart and Deena (T.J.) Stafford of Goshen; sisters Linda (Kerry) Edwards, Vicki Naylor of Elkhart, Jenny (Steve) Rice of Warsaw and Shana Upton; and brothers Ronnie (Barb) Stubblefield of Goshen and Gene Steele of Ligonier.
He was preceded in death by his father, and a son, Dwight "Dee" Stubblefield, in 2005.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, and from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral home.
Burial of his cremains will be in Violett Cemetery.
