TOPEKA - Lawrence S. Daniels, 81, died early Saturday afternoon, April 20, 2013, at Center for Hospice, Elkhart.
He was born July 31, 1931, in Noble County to Emmett and Lulia (Hobbs) Daniels. On Jan. 13, 1967, he married Elizabeth (Whirledge) Schrock in Covington, Ky.
He is survived by two stepsons, Philip (Sheryl) Schrock of South Bend and Dennis (Arlene) Schrock of St. Charles, Ill.; five grandchildren, Elizabeth (Brian) Misenar, Colette (William) Johnson, Bradley (Linda) Schrock, Matthew (Teresa) Schrock and Daniel (Laura) Schrock; and nine great-grandchildren, Lily and Everly Misenar, Grace, William and Lexie Johnson and Breanne, and Ashley, Gabrielle and Thomas Schrock.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers and sisters; and a granddaughter, Valerie Lyn Schrock.
Mr. Daniels was a lifelong area resident after serving with the U.S. Army. Larry was an Prudential Insurance agent and farmer. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling around the world. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Fish Lake. Most recently he had attended St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Millersburg.
There will be a 1 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013, memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Bill Johnson, the husband of Lawrence's granddaughter, will officiate. Cremation will take place with a private family burial later in Eden cemetery, Topeka.
