MOTTVILLE, Mich. - Marvin F. Cornwell Jr., 60, of Mottville Township and White Pigeon, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at Michiana Health and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness.
He was born Aug. 17, 1953, in Sturgis to Marvin F. Sr. and Flora M. (Comstock) Cornwell.
He married Cindy G. Householder on Dec. 28, 1975, in Niles.
Marvin was a Mottville and White Pigeon area resident his entire life. He was a U.S. Airforce veteran.
He worked as a counter clerk at Martin's Super Market in Elkhart, Ind., for the past 10 years. He also worked in RV manufacturing for Four Winds and Coachman.
He enjoyed his family, Notre Dame football, traveling, fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting and NASCAR.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy G. Cornwell of Mottville; two sons, Marvin F. III (Heather) Cornwell of Houston and Adam (Dawn) Cornwell of Dowagiac; mother Flora M. Cornwell of Mottville; and six grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his father.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Farrand Funeral Home, White Pigeon. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow with interment of remains at a later date in Mottville Township Cemetery.
Donations may be directed to the family for brain cancer research. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
