Sharon K. Pike

MIDDLEBURY - Sharon K. Pike, 71, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012. She was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.

Sharon was born Nov. 25, 1940, in Goshen and was a longtime resident of Middlebury. She worked as a pool attendant at USA Fitness for more than 30 years.

She is survived by her best friend and loving husband, Paul E. Pike of Middlebury; two sons, Mitchell J. Pike and Donald E. Pike, both of Middlebury; granddaughter Nicole L. Pike of Elkhart; great-grandson, Tyler, and two great-granddaughters, Ciara and Baily, all of Elkhart; and a brother, Sonny Cripe of Syracuse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Violet Cripe; and two sisters, Gwen Donat and Jackie Cobbs.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the noon funeral service today, Oct. 9, 2012, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Mark Waltz of Granger Community Church will officiate. Burial will follow at the Little Pine Cemetery on C.R. 19 in Elkhart County.

Sharon always had a friendly smile and attitude as the pool attendant. I remember her well and saw her several times after she retired. I know she enjoyed going to Florida in the winter. Rest peacefully.
