CASSOPOLIS, Mich. - Bernadette C. "Bernie" Linhart, 93, of Cassopolis, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, in Greenleaf Living Center in Elkhart, Ind.
She was born Dec. 28, 1918, in Chicago to Joseph and Elizabeth (Stava) Tintera. She married Ernest A "Ernie" Linhart on May 17, 1941, in Cicero, Ill. He preceded her in death on May 16, 2009.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Poro.
Bernie will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Beth (Thad) Cizma of Westmont, Ill.; two sons, Thomas E. Linhart of New Brooklyn, Ill., and John J. (Rosemarie) Linhart of Chicago; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Tom and Todd Baryl, Katie, Julie, Matthew, Eric and Chris Linhart; two great-grandchildren, Tristan and Parker Baryl; two sisters, Mary Ann (Otto) Vent of Watervliet and Elizabeth T. O'Connor of Dundee, Ill.; and one sister-in-law, Marcy Hopps.
Family and friends will gather from 3 to 8 p.m. (Central) Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, in Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 West Cermak Road, Westchester, Ill. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. (Central) Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at the funeral home, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. in Divine Infant Catholic Church, 1601 Newcastle Street, Westchester, Ill. Bernie's remains will be laid to rest beside those of her late husband, Ernie, in Saint Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, Ill.
