Shirley K. Poe

GOSHEN - Shirley K. Poe, 76, of Goshen, passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Courtyard Healthcare Center in Goshen.

She was born Aug. 25, 1936, in Goshen to the late Carl E. and Ruth L. (Lines) Miller.

On July 25, 1957, she married Clifford A. Poe in Elkhart. He preceded her in death June 21, 2009.

Surviving are three sons, Michael Weldy of Elkhart, Joseph (Lara) Miller of Warsaw and Carl (Beverly) Poe of Milford; daughter Debra (Robert) Ryman of Bristol; fianc" and dearest friend, Dick Klase of Goshen; sister Esther (Rich) Yoder of Goshen; brother Ret. Col. Ray E. Miller of Dayton, Ohio; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; six nieces; and six nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Wysong, and two brothers, H. DeFoe Miller and Charles D. Miller

Shirley and Clifford worked for several years in the RV transportation industry. She often enjoyed bowling, cooking and being with her family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 13, 2012, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St, Elkhart. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Billings Funeral Home. Maj. Karen Hanton of the Goshen Salvation Army will officiate. Following the services, cremation will take place at Altera Cremation Services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army of Goshen or Goshen Home Care and Hospice.
