Norma J. Hopper

April 28, 1936 - Dec. 21, 2012

ELKHART - Norma Jean Hopper, 76, of Elkhart, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, in her residence.

She was born April 28, 1936, in Scottsburg to Salem F. and Marie L. (Schiller) Hopper.

Survivors include four sisters, Betty J. Roche of Mokena, Ill., Adaline Criqui of Jones, Mich., Sally (Warren) Ollis of Linesville, Pa., and Bonnie J. Bennett of Coal Valley, Ill.; one brother, Norman H. Hopper of Elkhart; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Joann Hopper. and a brother, G. Richard Hopper.

Norma worked as a reservation supervisor for Northwest Airlines, formerly North Central Airlines, for 38 years prior to her retirement in 1993.

She enjoyed needlecraft, embroidering, watching the Olympics, reading and spending time with her family.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Steve Steele will officiate.

Interment will follow in Adamsville Cemetery in Edwardsburg, Mich.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, in memory of Norma.
