ELKHART - Ernesteen I. Huff, 61, of Elkhart, passed away at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Elkhart General Hospital."

She was born March 6, 1951, in Charleston, W.Va., to Edward and Ida (Stanley) Winter.

Surviving are a daughter, Melissa (Adrian Schmerber) Delacruz of Elkhart; one son, James Browning of Goshen; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Gayland Howell of Hopewell, Va.; and her former husband, Johnnie Huff of Elkhart.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Ernesteen enjoyed cooking and singing, and she loved her two dogs, Heidi and Chico.

There will be no visitation or services and cremation will take place. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
