SHIPSHEWANA - Nelson L. Miller, 74, of Shipshewana, died at 5:40 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, at home.
He was born Dec. 19, 1938, to the late Joe E. and Edna (Coblentz) Miller in Hicksville, Ohio. He married Ada E. Yoder on Oct. 22, 1959.
His wife; children Dorothy (Denis) Graber, Doris (Marlin) Graber and Betty (Steve) Miller of Goshen; Katy (Mervin) Miller of Shipshewana; Anna (Gary) Bontrager of Vandalia, Mich.; Nelson Jr. (Rachel) Miller of Middlebury; and Jay (Ellen) Miller of Elkhart; 34 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings Ruth Ann (Gerald) Hostetler and Naomi (Wayne) Yoder of Middlebury; Lois (Lamar) Schmucker of New Paris; Mary Boeger, Linda Graber, Louise (Arlin) Stutzman and Ray (Velma) Miller of Shipshewan; and Joe Jr. (Ruth), Ervin (Marie) and Paul Miller survive.
A daughter, Mary Magdalena; sister Wilma Miller; and stepmother Barbara Miller preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 26, at Maple City Chapel, 2015 Lincolnway E., Goshen. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, also at Maple City Chapel. Burial will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury.
