NAPPANEE - Linda Mae Miller, 89, of Nappanee, died at 8:05 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at The Maples in Goshen, where she had been a resident for two weeks.
She was born May 29, 1923, in Nappanee to Moses J. and Maude E. (Hochstetler) Miller. She lived her lifetime in this area. On May 11, 1943, she married Homer D. Miller in Nappanee. He preceded her in death Aug. 13, 2008.
Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and a faithful pastor's wife for many years. She was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church.
Surviving are daughters Katie (Glen) Bontrager of Wakarusa, Ina (Dale) Slabaugh of Nappanee, Sara (Joni) Schrock of Madison and Maria (Vernon) Bacher of West Minster, S.C.; a son, Lyle (Ada) Miller of Nappanee; 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and brothers Olen (Katie) Miller of Hartwell, Ga., Herman (Anna Marie) Miller of Marshfield, Wis., John William (Jane) Miller of Bremen and Gilbert Lee (Mary Kathryn) Miller of Nappanee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a stillborn son, Delbert; and infant brothers Mervin and Monroe Miller.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013, at Bethel Mennonite Church, where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013. Pastor Calvin Yoder will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
